ISIT Virtual Meeting Monday, March 13 at 4:00 PM
We will have our March Intermediate School Improvement Team virtual meeting on Monday, March 13 at 4:00 PM. The monthly improvement team meeting is open to all parents, students, and staff members. It is an opportunity to for shared decision-making regarding the Intermediate School with input from all stakeholder groups.
We have several topics on the agenda for tomorrow that I believe many parents, students, and staff members will want to have input on. The agenda items are listed below followed by the link for the virtual meeting via google meet. The link should work using your child's chromebook or any other digital device.
ISIT Meeting Agenda - Virtual Meeting on Monday, March 13 at 4:00 PM
Quarterly Acknowledgement (Roller Skating, Bowling, etc.) Participation Criteria - some parents and staff members have expressed concerns with using attendance data as one of the qualifying criteria.
Cyber Bullying/Social Media Concerns- Increase of Intermediate students using social media to call out, threaten, or “bully “other students. Information about what school can do, and what police and parents can do to address this growing concern.
Attendance in school- growing problem of chronic absenteeism with intermediate students.
Review of Spartan Day planning - a wonderful annual event sponsored by our ISIT and ISSC.

A part of self-awareness is reflecting and checking in on yourself. Here are some great/quick questions you could use with your students in a community circle or to just check in on them to learn more about them/their day. You could even go a step further and connect it to “How was the learning…” as a closure activity. Circle up and ask - “How did this strategy work for you?” “What did not work for you?” “What is one new thing you learned from our lesson today…?” etc.
