All Things SLI
Silver Lake Intermediate Feb. 26, 2021
SLI Families:
While we haven't been able to do many things as usual this school year, I am excited that we are still presenting our SLI musical "On Broadway" at the Oconomowoc Arts Center next weekend. We won't be able to take our whole school to view our talented students, but do consider going. There are safety guidelines in place. Please see more information in this newsletter.
While we haven't been able to have visitors in our buildings this school year, we are so appreciative of support for SLI. Thank you families for purchasing Kwik Trip Car Washes. Your child should have brought them home this week if you ordered one (or more).

7th Grade Wellness Screener
On March 8, seventh graders will be participating in a wellness screener. Seventh-grade parents should have received an email communication this week. The parent letter regarding the screener is included in this Smore newsletter. Please contact Jessie Mueller, the SLI social worker, by March 4th with any concerns or if you do not want your seventh grader to participate.

What does my child do if they are in quarantine or isolation?
Even though we are back full face to face five days a week, students in quarantine are expected to Zoom into the class here at school.
If your child is ill and is unable to participate in the virtual schedule (i.e. attend Zoom meeting with the in person class), please email your child's teachers so they are aware and can work with individual families/students.
What if my child has technical issues at home?
Students and families who need technical support can submit a ticket using the form on their student bookmarks, or available here. In addition, support from our Technology Help Desk is available during the school day by calling 262-560-2126 or emailing helpdesk@oasd.org. For those who do not have reliable internet access at home, please contact our help desk to request a hotspot. The OASD Technology Website has additional information on remote learning and technology resources.
The Character Strong curriculum is built around the “Eight Essential” character traits and social emotional skills that have been proven to help us be productive, empathetic, successful people. We will be working together to build a kinder school culture and, ultimately, a kinder world. We are so excited to dive into this resource with our students and staff, and with families as well!
