IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM COUNTRY NUTS
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Country Nuts Photography is aware of the significant challenges and apprehension that each of us is experiencing. We recognize the need to adapt in order to keep students, families, teachers and schools safe, and have made a number of changes to our processes as we learn and receive updated government requirements.
For the safety of our customers and staff while we continue to capture children’s memories through our school photography, we are committed to following the necessary protocols when photographing at each school, and in our place of business.
PHOTOGRAPHY PROCESSES DURING COVID-19
For the safety of our customers and staff while we continue to capture children’s memories through school photography, our photographers are committed to following these guidelines when photographing at each school:
- At the beginning of each day of photography, a screening questionnaire is completed to confirm that our photographers are not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
- Photographers will wear a face mask at all times while on site
- We are required to document what we clean and when we clean it. At the beginning and end of each day, equipment is cleaned and disinfected. Any items that students are in contact with during the sitting are disinfected between sittings
- “Practice Physical Distancing” signs are posted on location as a reminder to maintain the appropriate distancing and keep safety in mind
- Hand sanitizer is easily accessible for the photographer and students to use
- If there is more than one photographer working in the same area, sharing of equipment is avoided to minimize contact between photographers. If sharing is required, the photographers clean and disinfect items between uses
- Our photographers only use equipment and supplies that can be cleaned and disinfected or disposed of between sittings
- Photographers are required to maintain physical distance of a minimum of 2 meters from students
- Students will be posed in a standing position with no props to avoid contact with any items
- We request that students leave the area/room as soon as their picture has been taken
- Ordering will be online only, with no paper order forms distributed to students
- We are not able to offer group photos until the requirement for physical distancing has been lifted
**** PLEASE NOTE ****
As per the last bullet from Country Nuts, due to their physical distancing procedures, sibling photos will not be available at this time.
Orange Shirt Day - September 30
New Procedures for Late Arrival and Early Dismissals
Due to our new policies and procedures all doors to the school will remain locked.
Teachers will be at the designated student doors from 8:00 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. All designated student doors will be locked at 8:10 a.m.
The Main Entrance door will be locked at 8:15 a.m.
If your child(ren) will be arriving late, do not go to your designated door as staff will not be available to let them in once they've gone into their classrooms with the other students. Please drop your child(ren) off at the main entrance doors. You can either call the office for entry or ring the doorbell that is located on the wall to the left of the main doors.
If for any reason you need to pick up your child from school during regular school hours, you must remain in your vehicle, call the school office to let us know you've arrived to pick up your child(ren). You will no longer be required to sign your child (ren) in or out as was the previous practice.
As a friendly reminder, to limit potential exposure to COVID-19 and traceability only students and staff are permitted in our school until further notice.
We appreciated your patience and understanding.

Grade 5 & 6 Update !
Library News
My name is Tracy Scoggins, and I am the new librarian at Holy Redeemer this year. I am very excited for this new adventure, and I can’t wait to get to know all the students at this fine school. Things will be a little different this year in the library, with new restrictions and rules to follow, but together we can make this a great year of reading. All books being returned to the library will spend 72 hours in quarantine. At that time they are safe to be returned to the shelves, and checked out by other students. Students will be masked (gr 4-8) and sanitized before and after their library class. Small groups will come into the library at a time to make social distancing posible. What book a student touches, is what book they take. So far the response has been positive, and everyone is just happy they can continue to borrow books!! I’m looking forward to a great year at Holy Redeemer, with many wonderful memories!
Tracy Scoggins
Also, if anyone has any books from last year at their home, please bring them in ASAP. We need to check them in and get them back to the library
Thank you!
Wellness Wednesdays
Academics are a key component of school, but the student experience isn’t solely defined by their education. The wellness team at Holy Redeemer believes that school is about the friends you’ll make, the moments you’ll experience, and the passions you’ll discover.
This year we will be hosting Wellness Wednesdays! These days could an activity, challenge, spirit day, or fundraiser. At Holy Redeemer we want students to build connections with their peers, teachers, school, and community. Wellness Wednesdays will also be a support for mental health and will be designed to promote a balanced lifestyle beyond the academic.
Sometimes the activities will include friendly competitions between the classes. The class that participates the most will be given the School Spirit Trophy to display in their classrooms for the week and will be mentioned on the announcements! We will be keeping score of participation on a bulletin board at the school for students to see.

This weekend’s gospel from Matthew illustrates the parable of the two sons. In Jesus' parable of the two sons, the father asked both sons to go and work in his vineyard. One son answered, "No," but went and worked. The other son answered "Yes"but did not go. In telling the story, Jesus wanted us to realize that what we do is more important than what we say we will do. Jesus wants us to answer, "Yes," when he tells us to "Love one another," but what he really wants is for us to love one another! Jesus wants us to answer, "Yes," when he says, "Follow me," but what he really wants is for us to follow him!
