Indianapolis Colts Mascot, Blue, Visits SCOH Secondary Students
Blue, Indianapolis Colts Mascot, dropped by HHS and HMS on Tuesday to spread the message of love with our students. Our Brickies were introduced to Trey Mock, the man behind the mask, and were both entertained and captivated by the stories he shared. Blue/Trey reminded the HHS and HMS staff and student body that "choosing to give is choosing to love." That's truly the way to #BeExcellentOnPurpose! Thank you for visiting us, Trey, and for bringing your important message to SCOH!
HHS Brickies Attend Annual Carpenter and Millwright Apprenticeship Open House
30 Hobart High School students attended the 2022 Annual Carpenter and Millwright Apprenticeship School Open House. Students learned about the classroom expectations of the program, as well as the potential to earn an associate’s degree from Ivy Tech at no cost to the apprentice. Other presentations reviewed topics like; the benefits package, healthcare, and retirement with annuity. Students were able to be hands-on and talk to a variety of Carpenters and union representatives. So many opportunities for our Brickies, and they represented themselves very well at the event! #BeExcellentOnPurpose #BrickieUp

"Always seeking ways to expand opportunities for its students to be excellent on purpose, HHS partnered with Ivy Tech, Purdue University Northwest, CELL, and its local partners to launch Hobart University (HU) in 2018. HU is a whole school early college located within Hobart High School. Since officially launching HU in 2018, Hobart’s early college programming initiatives have materialized into year-over-year growth in monies saved, credits earned, and credentials of currency gained."
