PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES 1st-5th GradesTeachers will be meeting with families for parent-teacher conferences. Your classroom teacher will be reaching out to you soon if they haven't already about scheduling conferences. 1st-5th grade students have a minimum day during conference week. 1st-5th grades will be released at 12:30 each day from 9/30-10/8. Students who ride the bus will eat lunch on campus and depart at 1:00 pm. Kindergarten students already had conferences and will keep their regular schedule.
Update: We had all negative tests from our first round of pool testing. In the event we have a positive case, the school community would be notified and the class where the positive case took place would participate in rapid antigen tests if they have consent.
Meadow Heights will do pool testing every Monday, from 8:00-11:00 am outside of the classroom in the hallway.
To get started, please fill out the consent form with your permission to perform a COVID-19 pooled test for your student at Meadow Heights. This process should take no more than 5 minutes to complete using a computer or a smartphone. Students who have consent after 12:00 each Friday will participate in Pooled Testing the following week.

5th Grade Instrumental Music
We are so thrilled to be bringing instrumental music back in person to all of our 5th graders in the San Mateo Foster City School District!
All 5th graders across the district get the opportunity to expand their musical knowledge and skills while participating in: clarinet, flute, trumpet, violin, and voice. Every student is provided with a district instrument or book to use throughout the year. This truly special program would not be possible without amazing district support and the hard work of the ED Foundation! The ED Foundation works throughout the year to secure funding that allows us to provide and maintain instruments for all of our students and acquire necessary music supplies.
This year, we are taking into account the added need for safety to allow our students to enjoy their in person music classes. Our music instructors are working creatively and carefully to make safety a priority. Our clarinet, flute, and trumpet classes are being moved to the outdoors in addition to utilizing careful masking and special bell covers for instruments. Voice and violin classes are able to be held safely inside while distancing for added safety and comfort. After a year of online music, it is truly such a joy to be connecting and creating music with students in person again!
