Game On!

Updates

Thanks so much for donating to The United Way. We have 62 of our 91 staff members that have donated to the United Way. The specialists, second, and fourth grades have achieved 100% participation and can dress down on Monday! Any other grade levels or group with 100% by Friday can dress down on Monday as well. We are almost there. Our goal is 100% participation. Paper donation forms can be picked up in Kelly's office. We can be the first school in Wake County to have 100% participation! Let's do it. Thanks in advance. Any questions? See Kelly.

We are in the process of finalizing permission forms and letters to go to the movies. It is our goal for this to go home on Friday.

Thank you for planning such robust instruction between now and winter break!

Your students were recognized for WIG Wednesday during their lunch time today. This was our effort to minimize classroom interruptions. We will let you know how it went, get feedback at Friday's Children's Chat, and reevaluate if necessary.

I will be out today and at an all day Principals' Meeting on Thursday. I will be back on campus around noon on Thursday and then back to the meeting after that.

We will have the new CEO from Lego, Colin Gillesepie, visit us on Thursday. Please join me in welcoming him to our campus.

We will not have a Faculty Meeting on Monday. One of the greatest gifts we can give one another right now is time.

Please join me in thanking Ashley Donnell for her amazing service to our school during Meredith Little's absence. Ashley's last day is next Wednesday.

Thank you for encouraging your students to come out to Quail Ridge Books on Tuesday evening. Help us encourage participation in anyway that you can.

Thank you for keeping Ms. Smith in your thoughts. There is an envelope in Ms. Wilson's office. Our goal is to present her with our love offering by Monday, December 14 at our staff meeting. Thursday and Friday there will be a camera set up in the back of the media center for you to record your message for Lisa. Please take a few moments to stop by and send her your well wishes. We will work to edit the videos together to give to Lisa. In case of mistakes, we will take the last recorded video of you and include that take on the video.

If you sent down the blue adhesive tack a couple weeks ago, we have placed it in the copier room by the paper cutter. Thank you for your willingness to share! If all of what you gave is not there, let us know. We will make it right!

Congratulations to Paula Everett and Katie Trueman - you are our employees of the month! Please enjoy preferred parking for the month of December.
