SCS Happenings: November 13, 2020
Saint Catharine of Siena, pray for us.
From One Wildcat to Another...a gentle reminder
Congratulations! We have made it successfully to week twelve.
Thanksgiving break is approaching quickly. Please be assured of my prayers of gratitude for you, your students, and our excellent faculty and staff. We are amazingly blessed.
I implore our entire school community to take the act of protecting one another very seriously over the holiday break.
Be mindful and socially responsible for others and yourselves. The virus is spreading rapidly. Although it may not affect you as dramatically as others; it could.
Take mitigation steps seriously, please.
Our goal is to continue live teaching and not revert back to full virtual. It takes all of us working together, protecting each other.
If you plan to travel to an area where there are high amounts of COVID-19 cases or are on the PA State Quarantine List, it is recommended that you stay at home for 14 days upon return home. If you travel to the following states, it is recommended that you quarantine for 14 days upon return. https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/disease/coronavirus/Pages/Travelers.aspx
It is our continued hope and prayer that we can be together soon. Thank you for all you do. Saint Catharine of Siena, pray for us.
Air high fives to all,
Mrs. Marcella Kraycik

Dressing for the Weather
December 1, 2020 HSO Meeting...ALL are welcome
Lunches
We encourage the packing of nut-free lunches this year. Due to COVID restrictions, the students are eating in various places around our campus. They are dining either in classrooms, the cafeteria, or alfresco if weather permits.
A nut-free table is not available this year. Therefore, we are asking that nut-free lunches and snacks be brought to school this year. We thank you for your support and your respectful cooperation in this matter.
The cafeteria will be serving a limited menu if the lunch service is needed. Homemade macaroni and cheese and galaxy pizzas have been added to our lunch menu this month! Yum!
SCS School Masses
- Thursday, November 19, 2020, @ 8:30 am Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4.
If your student is a lector for a school mass, we ask that you send them to school in their formal uniform when they lector. They may change into their gym uniform after mass. Thank you for your cooperation in advance.
Please note that if the weather is uncooperative, students will refrain from walking to the chapel for mass. We ask that you dress your child appropriately for the weather, regardless.
We will be adding to this rotation and are also looking into other options and creative ways to celebrate mass with our students.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Kraycik at mkraycik@scsreading.org

Box Tops for Education
No more clipping. No more sending Box Tops to school. All you need is your phone. Download the ALL-NEW Box Tops app, shop as you normally would, then simply scan your store receipts to find participating products. The app will automatically credit your school's Box Tops earnings online.
You can still clip them and send them to school. Physical Box Top clips are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. Send your clipped Box Tops, along with any unexpired clips you may have at home, to SCS.
Twice a year, your school will receive a check and can use that cash to buy whatever it needs!
