Highlights for Skaggs Staff

Notes and Reminders
- Send out eNews on Sunday with your lessons at 5:00 PM.
- Note: For those of you with little children and other responsibilities at home, my extra hug go out to you! All of you are doing a fabulous job and making us proud to be ONE for the Stars! At the same time, we are being mindful of the struggling families. We have homes with single parents, economically challenged, overworking, medically ill, limited English, and other countless struggles. For now, our assignment due dates are considered "soft", and no grades are taken. While setting high expectations, we will understand the differences. Feel free to reach out to me for questions.
Parent Permission/Communication
- General ed: We are currently awaiting new guidance from TEA on the topic of confidentiality and obtaining parental permission for students to participate in live chats and communications. Please HOLD OFF on trying to obtain parent permission at this point. We will provide a district wide general statement to be sent to parents. Whatever communication you've had with parents, leave them as is. Virtual Communication Expectations
Special ed: Continue with the current guidance in the Remote Learning for School Closure with Students Served in Special Education Q & A until further notice from the special ed department
