Retinitis Pigmentosa

What is the cause
Retinitis Pigmentosa is caused by an inherited disorder and therefore not caused by injuries, infections or any other external or environment factors. They are born with this disorder and already in their cells so you can not get this disorder unless you are born with it.

- RP
- rod-cone dystrophy
- pigmentary retinopathy
- tapetoretinal degeneration.
Symptoms
Night blindness and loss of peripheral symptoms start at young adults.

The treatment and cures
The treatment is to get vitamin A and E can lower the progression of retinitis pigmentosa. And there is no cure right now they are trying to find one but they have not yet.
How is it inherited
It is inherited by going through an autosomal recessive pattern of inheritance which means that both copies of a gene in each cell have mutations.
