Parent Teacher Conferences-Virtual
Below are the Middle School instructions:
Parent Teacher conferences are scheduled for this Thursday 10/22 and next Thursday 10/29.
Like everything else, conferences will be unique this year. We will be hosting virtual conferences. If a teacher requested to meet with you, you were sent an email to sign up for a 10 minute slot. If your student was not requested, please choose a 5 minute time frame for any teacher you would like to meet with.
Skyward Directions:
Log into Skyward Family Access.
On the left hand side of the screen, you’ll see a tab titled Conferences. When you click on the link a window will open with your child(ren)'s name.
Next to your child's name you will see a blue link that says All Conferences, click on that link, select the time you would like, save and you'll see all of your child's classes, click Select Time with the teacher that is listed above as requesting a conference, click Select for the time slot you would like and Save. You are all scheduled to meet with that teacher at that time. You need to do this for each teacher you would like to meet with. In order to make this work, we work hard to stick to the scheduled times. If you feel that you need a longer time frame to meet with a certain teacher, please email the teacher directly or Mrs. Kalina to schedule a time outside of the two conference dates.
If you are just looking for a little information and would prefer not to use google meet, please feel free to email teachers directly and they can respond.
Next week, you will receive an email with all of the teachers google meet links.
We ask that you log on to the teacher you are scheduled to meet with a few minutes early and the teachers will admit you into the "meet" as soon as they are able. This will be tricky if you sign up for back-to-back times. Please give yourself a buffer in between conferences. We encourage you to have your middle school student with you. They can help you navigate the links, as they are experts and we love when middle school students own their learning!
If you would like to schedule a quick meeting with Mrs. Kalina, just send her an email (kalina@erinschool.org). She will send you a link and a time that hopefully is close to your other conferences.
Please let Mrs. Kalina know if you have any questions and we appreciate your flexibility and patience as we continue to navigate this year.
