WKHS Wrestling

The WKHS Wrestling Team is looking for 7th and 8th graders to join them! They are looking for wrestlers of all sizes - from 80 lbs. to 285 lbs. - 14 different weight classes need to be filled. If you are interested, you need to start by November 7th. Practices are after school from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 the WKHS Wrestling Room which is located on the left side of the big gym. Please ride the shuttle bus over to WKHS. All athletes will need athletic attire and a sports physical. Eventually, participants will need wrestling shoes and head gear. They are hoping to see lots of new wrestlers very soon!!

Calling all 6th Graders!! If you are interested in wrestling, WKHS is offering a new Wrestling Youth Camp! The camp will run from October 29 - March 10. Please stop by the CSMS front office for more information.

Boys' Soccer

Winter Workouts for boys' soccer will begin on December 3. Workouts will be held after school from 4:00 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. on the practice field behind WKHS. All 7th and 8th grade male students may participate. Athletes must have a physical dated after April 1, 2018, cleats, and shin guards to be able to take part in workouts. Contact Coach Green at WKHS if you need more details.

Math Tutoring

CSMS offers free after school math assistance for students. We have a qualified WKHS student working as our math tutor. Tutoring sessions are from 3:40 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week in the Learning Commons. Students may sign up for only ONE day per week. Students will also need to have their transportation home arrive by 4:30 p.m. to be ready to pick them up after tutoring. For further information, simply stop by or call the CSMS Main Office. *Tutoring is not homework time - it is a time to receive help with your math needs.

CSMS 2018 -2019 Basketball Schedule

Baseball Conditioning

All 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out for the baseball team are invited to come to conditioning. Conditioning sessions will be Monday, Tuesday , and Wednesday of each week at WKHS and will go through November 28. All athletes must have a physical dated after April 1, 2018.

Read Your Way to the Big Game

Carolina Springs Middle is happy to promote this program annually, which encourages reading and allows students to try to win Carolina/Clemson tickets, if they meet the reading requirement. Any CSMS student who reads 6 books can qualify to win tickets and pre-game passes to the 2018 BIG GAME between South Carolina and Clemson. Reading logs have been sent to all CSMS students and are also available in the Learning Commons. Deadline to return reading logs to CSM is Nov. 8. The 2018-2019 CSMS LOCC Club has started! We help our Huskies reach for their full potential by staying substance free, safe, and healthy; AND we show them that living that way is super far from boring! Meetings are after school on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month in the 112G Lab from 3:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. For more information, see Nurse Hammond in the Nurse's Office or Mrs. Sanders in the Learning Commons!
