This past weekend the CSMS Archery Team traveled to Louisville, Kentucky for the 2019 NASP Eastern National Archery Tournament. This was their 2nd trip in the past three years. The team competed in Bullseye and IBO Archery, and finished 62nd out of 255 teams participating!

One outstanding archer, CSMS 8th grader, Alex Massengill, shot a personal best of 296. With this amazing score, Alex came in 3rd in the nation for middle school males! That means that Alex was 3rd out of 2,909 middles school males, 3rd out of 1065 8th grade males, and 15th overall out of the 7,837 males who competed from in the different divisions from elementary to high school levels! What an amazing accomplishment! The entire CSMS family is so very proud of Alex!

Carolina Springs Middle School Named Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School

We are so proud and excited to announce that Carolina Springs Middle School has received a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools Award for the 2018-2019 school year from the Flippen Group!

Three years ago, CSMS began an initiative to transform the campus into an emotionally safe and relationally connected place for students, staff, and parents. After researching programs used by some of the nation’s most successful schools, CSMS leaders chose to join hands with the Flippen Group to bring Capturing Kids’ Hearts to its campus. Teachers and staff learned processes to increase students’ connectedness with both peers and adults on campus. They learned how to create a classroom environment where students are excited to enter and learn every day. As a result of implementing Capturing Kids’ Hearts, CSMS has enjoyed improved attendance and increased student achievement.

Please add these upcoming events to your calendar! Details will be coming soon.
