Principal's Message...
Today is our last day of September, and our Jedi (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) committee here at school has done an amazing job of helping us all celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. We have started our days with morning announcements about Hispanic heroes and influencers and teachers have an accompanying slide show that has been created to learn more about these figures. It's been a great way to bring focus and celebration to such influential voices that have formed our culture.
Tomorrow we kick off October, which is National Bullying Prevention month. Join us Wednesday October 19th for National Unity Day. Wear orange to show your solidarity and create a visible message that you are united against bullying. Our Jedi team is planning some fun and engaging activities for the month of October to bring this topic to the forefront.
We hope that you are able to read through our important updates and that you can get out this weekend and enjoy the beautiful fall weather with your family. We'll see you next week.
In Partnership,
Clifford Cross Country Team!!
Hispanic Heritage Month Books
From folk tales and luchadores to men and women who made their mark on history, explore Hispanic culture.
Clifford Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
We are halfway through Hispanic Heritage Month. Our TK-8 classes have been reading books by Latino Authors, learning about Prominent Latino Leaders, and celebrating Latin Artists through Art In Action and classroom projects. Each morning we have been highlighting one important Latino Leader in American history. This week 3rd Grade celebrated Spanish Artist Joan Miro with an oil pastel rendition of his cubist paintings.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month!
Wear orange on October 19th to send a visible message that we want to prevent bullying. Wear orange to show that we as a Clifford community are united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month!
This month, the Clifford community will focus on raising awareness of and prevention of bullying.
What is bullying? According to stopbullying.gov, bullying is “unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time.”
Throughout the month of October, we will be doing activities promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
Please join us on Wednesday, October 19th for Unity Day!
