LANCASTER STAFF ARE HERE FOR YOU!
Dear Lancaster Families,
Warm greetings to all of you!
There is no doubt we are living in an ever-changing, unprecedented and uncertain time. During our virtual meeting as a staff yesterday, and from our contact with each other throughout the last week, I can assure you that our teachers, EAs, ECE's and support staff have much care for and desire to support our Lancaster families as a community of learners. We miss you, we are thinking about you, and we look forward to when we can get back to our classrooms and see our students again. There are many opportunities in the weeks ahead to find gratitude, to try out varied paths to both traditional and non-traditional learning, to reflect, to build healthy bodies and minds, and to share time with each other in our homes or virtually. We know there are challenges in the mix of the upheaval, but we also know the power of mindset and the strength we can find in each other and as a community.
At this time most messaging will continue to be communicated by LDSB centrally through School Messenger and Social Media. Please ensure you are engaging with any of the LDSB platforms that are available for families to keep up to date on the most current information.

From the Director's most recent letter to families:
You should expect a differentiated approach over the next few weeks while we develop these complex plans. Teachers may reach out to connect with students but there is no expectation for teaching and learning to continue right now. If you want to support from home, you can access the Ministry’s Learn at Home (https://www.ontario.ca/page/learn-at-home) resources or do general literacy and math activities: read a book, talk, play games. This is not the time to put additional stress on yourselves or students.
Take good care : )
