Message from the PTO President
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Winter Walk a great event! The weather was pretty great, all things considered, and the luminaries were beautiful, as always.
We held our February PTO meeting last night, and it was wonderful to see some parents there (virtually) who aren’t part of the PTO board. Parents are always welcome to join us, whether you’re just interested in seeing what we’re up to, or you have some input you’d like to give. For future months my plan is to share the meeting agenda with everyone ahead of time. That way, if there’s a topic you’re most interested in, you can try to jump on the call just for that portion of the meeting. It’s perfectly fine to attend any part of the meeting that works for you and to leave early if needed!

- Date decided for the Silent Auction! Sunday, May 22 (see more details below)
- Voted to fund Dicken's participation in the racial equity challenge again this year, and it will be very similar to last year's.
- Spending decisions: voted to approve purchases of appropriate winter gear for students, gift cards as prizes in the March Readathon, splitting the cost of the upcoming equity event with Lawton's PTO.
- Confirmed the Teacher Appreciation boxes were delivered to all teachers and staff (65 total boxes! see second photo below); and the books for Black History Month and Women's History Month have been delivered (see first photo below).
- PTO Positions Open: the PTO is currently in need of a Volunteer Coordinator for the rest of this school year. We are also looking to fill a few PTO board positions for next school year. Please contact Jen Miller for more information (dickenptopresident@gmail.com).

The PTO posts the meeting minutes every month on the PTO website (please allow a few days after each PTO meeting for the newest minutes to post).
Thank you to all who volunteered at & attended the Winter Walk!
