"Students Today; Leaders Tomorrow!"
October 2022
Principal's Message
"We've got to find a way to bring some lovin' here today..." ~Marvin Gaye (What’s Going On?)
One of our greatest gifts as human beings is our capacity to care- for ourselves and others. But, much like others, the gift of caring has to be given to our children for them to internalize it. In my 20-plus years as an educator, each generation seems to display a disconnect in how we regard each other. Through our efforts to acquire things as a means of affirming our success, we have lost the importance of seeing everyone around us as people. Despite unique differences, people essentially want to feel loved and respected.
Our young people must understand our value as people will not be found on our shoe, car, or clothing labels. Who we are is predicated on what we do, how we treat ourselves and others, and the way we show up in the world. I implore families to be more intentional about prioritizing character in our kids, building them up from the inside out. Teaching them how to love themselves is the start of teaching them how to show love for others. When all of the glitz has faded and the money is spent, we are left to face ourselves. In those moments, I hope the reflection our children see will elicit an immense sense of pride! ~Dr. Sonya R. Nock

Willingboro Public Schools proudly supported its own Layla Slaton in her campaign to be crowned the next Miss New Jersey. Layla sponsored a sneaker drive to collect new and gently used sneakers for those in need. After meeting Layla, it was clear that she is equally as compassionate as she is beautiful! Thank you to all of the Twin Hills students who joined in support of Layla's worthwhile cause!
Congratulations to Room 9 (Ms. Howell's HR) for winning a class party by collecting 20 pairs of shoes!
