I honestly cannot believe I just put dates through the last day of school. Wow! I hope these dates help you with planning your family's calendars. If my daughter's theatre group at FMHS advance in their competitions for UIL then I may be absent a day here and there to attend the competitions and go to state with them in Austin. We will see! I will let you know in advance. We are also looking to go to the Earth Day movie and have lunch at the park. I will get that date to you asap. It is still in the works.
I have to thank you again for spoiling me on Valentine's Day! I am so humbled and overwhelmed by your generosity and thoughtfulness! I had to hide some of the candy because I had 17 11th grade girls at my house all weekend for a church retreat and they were eating everything! ha! Thank you again! I am blessed beyond measure!
The Valentine boxes and cards were a hit. The kids had a little dance party and we ate cookies. It was a day of love and kindness as our book donations were given to the kiddos at Lakeland. The classes there were so grateful and overwhelmed by our kindness. I will show the class some pictures and a video of the Lakeland kids opening their gifts. Our 5th grade buddies did a great job helping us wrap and write sweet notes to them. Kindness and sweetness all around!
We had a lesson with Mrs. Fields our technology facilitator. We learned how to create a google slide show. We will be using this skill more in the future.
We had a wonderful gifted and talented lesson on creativity and stretching our thinking. Ask your child about their transformation picture they made.
Have a great week!
April McGhee

We have still been looking at research, reading nonfiction readers theater on how things are made, and we several nonfiction writing pieces.
