Potential and kinetic energy

Comparing and contrasting them

How are they different

Kinetic energy is an object in motion, while potential energy is an object that stores up energy and has a chance to be in motion. Mass, velocity, and mass determine the factors of the kinetic energy. Height, distance, and mass determine the factors of potential energy. Kinetic energy can be transferred but potential energy can not.

How are they alike

For one (obviously) they are both types of energy. They both include motion. They both use joules as a measurement.
