Mrs. Johnson's Journaling

We had a great first week of school! All of the students and staff were excited to be back in the building doing what we love, teaching and learning. It is different, but it is good. All of the protocols and procedures put into place made every day run smoothly. We adults are still learning the technology side of things for our blended learning students, but the students seem to be able to teach us quicker than we can teach ourselves. The new car rider line system is working and getting faster each day. We hope you and your child enjoyed your first week back to school as much as we did.

Thank you for your support as we start this new school year! Remember we are here if you need us. You can call us at 479-750-8760 or email We are happy to continue to partner with our families and community to make this a great school year.

Counseling Corner

Hello from the Bayyari Counseling Office! We would like to start the year off by introducing some of the people who work in the counseling office.

First, we would like to introduce our school counselor who is new to Bayyari this year, Mrs. McGinnis. It's Mrs. McGinnis' job to address any social, emotional, or behavioral issues that are keeping a student from learning. She visits classrooms with lessons about Social Emotional Learning and she meets with individual or groups of students who might need extra support making good choices or handling their feelings.

Next, we would like to introduce our social worker, Mrs. Hornberger. Mrs. Hornberger also works with students who may need extra support making good choices or handling their feelings. Additionally, Mrs. Hornberger works with families who need community resources.

Last, we would like to introduce our School Based Therapist, Ms. Krizana. Ms. Krizana works with students who have more serious emotional/behavioral concerns, such as symtpoms of anxiety or depression, or difficulty coping with family stress.

Let us know how we can help your student. We are here as a team to help you and your child!
