Book Fair & Dine Out Monday

Monday, Nov. 25 Culver's has partnered with our school libraries. Let Culver’s solve your early release lunch, snack or dinner plans. They will donate 25% of D103 sales back to our libraries. Please mention D103 or show them the PTO Culver's flyer.

During parent-teacher conferences, stop by the Daniel Wright Book Fair. Find that perfect book for your student. Books are age-appropriate. Sales benefit the school library.

Lost and Found

During parent-teacher conferences, the lost and found items will be on display in the DW Entrance. Please take a minute to look through these items - we have clothing, lunch boxes, eyeglasses, books, and much more! As a reminder, labeling your students' items will help us return it to them.

Shark Tank Registration Closes Soon

Students in grades 6 to 8 are invited to join in the entrepreneurship, SharkTank. Get your team together as the program allows four students per team for a total of 12 teams. Registration opens on the RevTrak Web Store on Monday, Nov. 11 and closes Friday, Nov. 29.

The eight-week program held on Wednesdays begins Dec. 4. SharkTank is sponsored by the Learning Fund Foundation (LFF).

The program will be led by D103 teachers Ms. Vani and Ms. Chiesa. They will cover ideation, problem solving, presentation, marketing, and other entrepreneurship concepts. Please see the LFF flyer for dates and times.

ASAs Close Dec. 4

Students can still register on RevTrak Web Store for the following After School Activities until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. Flute Choir, Improvisation, Rubik's Cube, and STEAM Club. Please visit the school's news bulletin for details about the programs.

Seventh-Grade Snowflake Planned

Please save the date for a seventh-grade Snowflake event that will alter the school day on Friday, Dec. 13.

  • Students will attend Daniel Wright from 2 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 13.
  • Transportation will be provided for all students beginning about 1:30 p.m.
  • Dinner will be served to students.
  • The event will conclude with a student dance from 7 to 8 p.m.
  • Parents are invited from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to attend a community panel discussion about the trends in this community pertaining to drug and alcohol use.

Snowflake is a program that focuses on drug and alcohol prevention. This program is in conjunction with Stevenson High School.

Report Cards

Wednesday, Nov.13, marked the end of the first trimester for the 2019–2020 school year.

Cumulative first trimester grades became viewable for Daniel Wright students through the Unified Classroom Parent Portal on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

AMC 10 Exam Registration closes Dec. 1

Daniel Wright will be offering D103 students the opportunity to participate in the AMC 10 (American Mathematical Competition). This exam is independent of the DW Math Clubs and will not be used in any way to determine team rosters for upcoming competitions.

The AMC 10 is a 25-question, 75-minute, multiple choice examination in high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills.

The AMC 10 is for students in 10th grade and below, and covers the high school curriculum up to 10th grade. Students in grade 10 or below and under 17.5 years of age on the day of the contest can take the AMC 10. You may now register on the RevTrak Web Store. More information about the competition can be found on the school's news bulletin.

Family Assistance

There are times when families may require financial assistance. Local organizations that are listed on our website are available to provide assistance to families in need. For financial assistance with D103 fees, the school lunch program, field trips, or other purchases, please reach out to the district's business office at 847-295-4030.
