Charlotte's Web Auditions

For K-5 Tuesday, 2/26 from 3-6:00.


This exciting, new musical version of Charlotte's Web brings a new dimension to E.B. White's beloved classic. With music and lyrics by Charles Strouse (Annie, 'Bye, 'Bye Birdie) and book by Joseph Robinette (national award-winning children's playwright) your audiences will thrill to a musical score which includes "Eating," Wilbur the pig's humorous yet poignant song about growing up; "Who Says We Can't Be Friends," an enchanting duet between Wilbur and his new-found companion Charlotte; "Welcome to the Zuckerman Barn," featuring all the story's unforgettable animals in a hand-clapping, toe-tapping hoe-down; and "Summer," a haunting, nostalgic chorus number which evokes a time and place from everyone's childhood. This joyous musical offers your audiences a very special experience.

Basic Information

This musical will be directed by Mrs. Arnold and choreographed by students, Addie and Sam McWright. Main animal roles and the parts of the children will feature elementary students. Ensemble roles and Adult roles can by played by middle school students. Individuals who wish to be considered for main roles should prepare a portion of a song and be prepared to sing with a karaoke track on his or her own device. Auditions will be on Tuesday, February 26th from 3-6:00. Call backs will be from 3:00-5:00 on Wednesday, February, 27th.

Audition Preparations

All students must complete the registration form below BEFORE auditions.

Students should be prepared to sing and learn a brief piece of choreography. Everyone 2nd grade and up should prepare a song and be prepared to sing with a track on his or her own device. Audition times are specified for specific groups by age and/or role interest.

Please sign up for the time that best fits each child. Supervision will be provided for students who need it between school dismissal and their audition.
