Cap and Gaown
Please keep in mind that you must return all rented caps and gowns to us after the graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 27. We will also buy back any purchased caps and gowns for $20.
Financial Aid
The 2023-2024 FAFSA window is NOW OPEN!
Students that plan on attending college next year will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA window will open on October 1, 2022 and will close on April 15, 2023.
Several colleges will begin sending out Financial Aid packages WELL before April 15th. Please try to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. It requires student and parent tax information that was submitted this past April 2022 (2021 Federal Tax Return Information). Some colleges have FAFSA deadlines as early as December 15th if students want to be considered for Academic Scholarships.
All students and parents must also apply for an FSA ID. This serves as your electronic signature on the FAFSA application.

Scholarships
INDOT- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is seeking applicants for its Engineering Scholarship Program, available for undergraduate and graduate students. Recipients may receive up to $3,125 per semester, as well as opportunities for paid employment during summer breaks and upon graduation. Students must be accepted or enrolled full-time in one of Indiana’s accredited Civil Engineering schools. Applications must be submitted on December 31, 2022.
Beacon Credit Union-
Beacon Credit Union has announced that they are now accepting applications for their 2023 Scholarship Program. There will be eight $1,000 scholarships awarded to Beacon Credit Union members that will be entering their freshman year at a college, university, or technical school in the fall of 2024. In order to be eligible for this scholarship opportunity, the applicant must be a member of Beacon Credit Union by the date of submission. Applications are available in Guidance. All materials must be received or postmarked by January 31, 2023.
Prudential Spirit of Community Award – this scholarship honors the high school student who excels in community service. The ideal applicant dedicates several hours (at least 25-100 hours) to one particular service project. Two state winners will receive $1,000 and a trip to Washington, DC. Application is available online at https://spirit.prudential.com/. After you apply online you MUST print out the certification page to be completed or email it to Mrs. Sommers or Mr. Koch. DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 6
ROTC Scholarships – each military branch offers a scholarship to students who would like to go to college in return for their commitment of service. These scholarships are sizeable! For example, the Army ROTC will give qualified students up to $16,000 a year for tuition and fees, $450 a year for books, and $150 stipend per month. Each branch has its own deadline, but all recommend you apply before NOVEMBER 1. It is very important that you act early if you are considering ROTC. See guidance for more information.

Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship – Any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen is eligible. Applications are available on line at www.elks.org/enf/scholars . You must click on the MVS Application. Applications must be submitted online by NOVEMBER 14
Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship– This scholarship is open to seniors that plan on majoring in education. They must have a 3.0 GPA and be in the top 20% of a class or score in the top 20th percentile on SAT or ACT. Nomination Forms and Application Forms are available online at http://in.gov/che/4680.htm. If a student receives this scholarship they must obtain a teaching license and teach in Indiana for 5 years or REPAY the amount of the scholarship back! This Scholarship will open October 1st and DEADLINE IS JANUARY 31st.

Indiana State University-Networks Scholars- This is a full in-state tuition, four-year renewable scholarship. It is open to business majors at ISU planning on a career in the financial services industry. Students must have a 3.5 GPA and a 1140 on SAT or 23 on ACT.
