Most color vision problems are intherited and present at birth people usually have 3 types of cone cells in each eye. each type senses either red green or blue light. you see color when your cone cells sense different amounts of these 3 basic colors. Most cone cells are found in the macula which is the center part of the retina.
- you may only be able to see a few shades of color whiles others can see thousands.
- you may not be able to tell the difference between red and green but you can see blue and yellow.
- may only see blacks whites and grays in rare cases.
- you may see many colors, so you may not know you see color differently than others.
Unfortunately, it cannot be treated. however some tinted eye glaesses may help color blind people to see better.
