Animal Exercise Area During Fair
A reminder that if you are wanting to exercise your animals during the fair there are specific boundaries you need to be aware of. Please keep your animals to the North of the Mercantile building, East of Nebraska Avenue, and to the west side of the tie out corrals. You may not be in the camper area. There will be maps posted in the barns during fair. Fair Board and Nebraska Extension appreciate your cooperation in keeping the grounds clean and safe for everyone.
Bucket Calf Record Books
Reminder: If you are showing a bucket calf at the fair your record book must be turned into the Extension Office by July 21st. Clover Kids will also need to turn in a record book, however, theirs is a little different. The record books can be found online or by calling the Extension Office.
4-H Youth Volunteer Opportunities
We are offering a few volunteer opportunities for older 4-H youth to grow as leaders this summer. We need older youth to help with our annual Clover Kid Day. If you enjoy working with kids and would like some volunteer hours, sign up! We also have some new things happening at fair that are designed for older youth involvement.
Click on the following link to view the opportunities where we could use your expertise. Sign up for the times that work best for you. For more information contact Megan.
Club Service Project Opportunity
- Power Washing Ag Hall - The fair board would like to power wash the inside of Ag Hall before county fair. They could use a club to help move displays around and wipe things down
If your club is interested in either of these projects, please call the Extension Office.

4-H Clover Chase: A Nebraska 150 Event
Nebraska 4-H, in partnership with the Nebraska 4-H Foundation, is celebrating the Nebraska Statehood 150 with the 4-H Clover Chase!
Between March 1 - August 15, 2017, Nebraska 4-H will be hosting a photo scavenger hunt for all 4-H members. Using an app, participants will complete challenges and submit photo entries on social media using #NE4HChase. After submitting photos and earning 150 points, participants will be eligible to receive a commemorative water bottle from their local Nebraska Extension Office and will be entered into a drawing to win a drone with video capability. The Nebraska Extension Office with the highest percentage of participation wins a free National Youth Science Day kit!
Complete details about the 4-H Clover Chase can be found at http://4h.unl.edu/clover-chase. Celebrate Nebraska’s Statehood, and Nebraska 4-H, by participating in this fun-filled opportunity with your friends, club, or family!
