Superintendent Dr. Angela Dominguez officially welcomed everybody back and reminded our teachers and staff about the district’s true purpose and number one outcome, which is to graduate all students ready for college, career, or the military. Everyone on our team plays a vital role in successfully accomplishing this outcome!

New & Returning Teachers Gear Up for the New School Year

Meet the Teacher Draws Hundreds of Families

Meet the Teacher Night was held across all our campuses on Aug. 9th & 10th. It was a great opportunity for teachers to introduce their classroom and teaching style to families as they stopped by to visit. It also allowed for teachers to create a relationship and establish communication with this year’s students and parents. For parents, it was a chance to get a sneek peek of their child's classroom set up and meet other families whose students will be in class with their child, preview the curriculum and say hello to the teacher.

New School Year off to a Great Start

August 14th marked the first day of school for teachers and students who were eager and excited to kick off another year of teaching and learning. Superintendent Dr. Angela Dominguez and members of the district's administrative team visited schools across the district throughout the day — from morning drop off to afternoon pickup — to ensure a smooth start for students and their parents. Donna ISD wishes everyone a great and successful 2023-2024 school year.
