April 2019
Sunflower Board Report
Currently our students are participating in a Tournament of Books. Students read for a set number of minutes each evening and earn "points" for books in a book bracket. The winning book will be used for an all school read aloud this spring.
We are excited to be getting Chromebooks next year and will focus our April 19 inservice on Chromebook training.
Four Sunflower students were recognized as Unsung Heroes at the Optimist Youth Banquet.
All the hirings have been done at Sunflower. We are excited to welcome Sandi Armbruster as the librarian, Cori Flynn as our new gifted teacher, Emily Alphin as our new 3rd grade teacher and Chiann Carothers as our new 5th grade teacher.
