Notes from Nurse Carmichael
Our 4th grade class will be watching an important video at the end of the month called Always Changing, on the early stages of puberty, which some of our students are already experiencing. A letter with more details is coming home in your student's next Wednesday folder. Be sure to read it thoroughly.
If you wish to know more about the videos please feel free to contact the school nurse or you can view the videos yourself at http://www.pgschoolprograms.com/parents.php. There are two versions, original and new…. We use the new ones.
Some parents prefer to teach their own child about the changes involved with puberty. If you DO NOT want your child to be included in the viewing with the other classmates, please send back the letter home with a note on the bottom requesting their exclusion from the presentation.
Leaders in Action Performing for Students
Please mark your calendars ~~ 4th graders in LIA will be performing a play that they created themselves in an effort to spread a message of respect and safety. They will be performing on Thursday, May 18, at 2:30 in Viking Hall.
