Bobcat Bulletin
SWHS Newsletter September 2020
Welome to the Bobcat Bulletin!
Message from the Principal
Dear SWHS Families,
Welcome to the first issue of the Bobcat Bulletin for the 2020-21 school year. As returning SWHS families know, this newsletter is periodically sent to parents/guardians containing information ranging from messages by me as SWHS Principal, news from faculty, students, and/or important dates/announcements. This newsletter will supplement the high school communications, not replace them. For your convenience, the Bobcat Bulletin will also be on the SWHS website.
It has become commonplace to refer to the times we are living in as challenging. But partnered together, educators and parents can help foster environments demonstrating a commitment to support students--at school and at home. I thank all families for their dedication to this same goal and our mutual support of one another as we navigate the opening of our school in very unique conditions.
I am also asking for partnership in delivering the same unified message to our children--that regardless of race, creed, religion, or background, each human being deserves equal treatment, respect, dignity, and a voice. Social justice, equity, and access should be a reality for all and this requires our collective and unfettered commitment. I shared this sentiment with our students and staff on the first day of school and emphasized our collective responsibility to deliver on this. Thank you for joining me in this message.
This issue contains information on the following topics:
- SWHS Hybrid Plan
- Technology 2020-21
- SWHS Website
- School Counseling Information
- New SWHS Staff
I wish your child a safe and successful school year.
Sincerely,
Frank Rizzuto
