This is a BIG THANK YOU to Richard, Tori, Kevin and the crew who worked tirelessly throughout the summer cleaning and preparing our school for our 2020 fall opening.
Calendar August 2020
- August 5th - District Board Meeting - updated information (if any)
- August 12th - Juan Rivas (or new district technology support) will be at Kettering to set up new Apple AirBook to login remotely works - 8:00 am.
- Aug 12th at 6:30pm - PTA Zoom Meeting
- August 24th - 28th - District Teacher Professional Development training for Learning Management System (paid) (TOT training week of August 17th)
- August 31st - Teacher 1st day - Staff planning meeting 8:30 am - 10:30 am (Zoom)
- September 1st - First day of 2020/ 2021 school year.
New Apple Laptop Air Books
- At this time they have been programmed to work within the LBUSD network, but not outside it.
- Above in the calendar section, Juan Rivas will be at our site to do the last personal and specific configuration so that the lap top can work both within the district's network and at home.
- If August 12th does not work for you, then you will check out the computer from me (anytime after August 8th), call the Help desk and set up an appointment to take it to the Board Building to get it configured.
- If you would like the computer earlier or later than the 12th , I am back at Kettering August 10th
Kettering Leadership
Here are the basic ideas for each leadership group:
Site Decision Making: Plan for pivot from online learning to return to distant in-classroom learning (and back again if need be). Decide on and purchase items that will assist with technology (support School Site Council).
ILT: Support the highest quality technology integration in lesson planning. Develop/support differentiated content that focuses on equity and the unique needs of all students.
Climate Culture: Work to support student's (and staff) social emotional needs through developing lessons and online activities. Focus on equity, sense of belonging and Growth Mindset (as an example).
