- Registration for the VMMS Future Business Leaders of America Chapter (FBLA) is now open! Send a email with your information to berriosrolon.maria.m@muscogee.k12.ga.us if you're interested in joining or for more information. The last day for FBLA registration is August 27th. Dues ($32) are also due by August 27th.
- A reminder to 7th grade parents that the state of GA requires a TDAP and MCV4 booster PRIOR to beginning 7th grade. Those students who need these vaccinations were sent reminder letters in May, but to ensure your student is able to begin the school year on time, ALL parents are responsible for checking their student’s Certificate of Immunization to ensure it has not expired. 6th grade students should (at least) be marked “Complete for K through 6th Grade.” All other grade levels should be marked “Complete for 7th through 10th Grade.” Please call your primary care provider or the Dept of Public Health with questions regarding your student’s immunizations. Additionally, if your child has severe allergies (requiring an epi pen), asthma, diabetes, or any other health concern, please email the School Clinic Worker at Morgan.cari.a@muscogee.k12.ga.us to discuss any Health Care Plans that may need to be completed by your doctor prior to the start of school. This will ensure a smooth smart to the school year and help us take the very best care of your child’s health needs. If your student takes a daily, lunchtime prescription medication this will need to be stored and dispensed in the school clinic. You may fill out those forms and bring the medication to Verification Day. As a reminder (per MCSD guidelines), VMMS does not give morning doses of prescription medication. Parents will need to ensure morning medication doses are given at home. Please email or see the School Clinic worker on Verification Day for any other questions regarding medication.
