Remote Learning Update
Dear Creighton Families,
This is a reminder that we will begin the school year with enhanced, structured remote learning on August 3. After great consideration regarding the health and safety of our school communities, we are announcing that the soonest we will transition to in-person learning on our campuses is after fall break on October 13. Throughout our planning, the health and safety of our staff and students has been our top priority, and beginning the year with a remote model allows us to continue to monitor the situation until we are confident it is safe to return.
This decision does not come easily because we know for many of you that your work and family responsibilities make it difficult for you to manage your child’s learning from home. To help us partner with you for the best possible service, please take a moment to complete this survey: https://forms.gle/ysBkBsDGAH1JRhe4A
Starting August 3 students will attend school every day from home through a structured, socially engaging online platform led by their Creighton teachers. The learning experience will include time to collaborate and interact with friends online. Each student participating in remote learning will be provided a district-issued iPad and will have secure access to district approved instructional resources and materials. iPad distribution information is being communicated in the next few days by your child’s school.
Once in-person learning resumes, you will have the option to transition your child back to school throughout the year, or you can choose to continue with remote learning for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.
For more details about remote learning please visit our website www.CreightonSchools.org for a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs). We are here to support you, and we look forward to partnering with you during each school’s virtual “meet the teacher” night. Please know that we love and miss your children very much and can’t wait to reconnect.
