SPARTAN SUCCESS
Pride and Passion
Our Partner students have been having an eventful semester filled with lots of laughter and enthusiasm. The students come in the classroom eager to learn and we are so proud of them. Each student has been showing significant growth within the last nine weeks. Not only do they come prepared, but they constantly participate in the events held by Partners and Communities In Schools. Here is a look back at all the exciting adventures our students participated in.
It's not a dream, it's a plan!
The future is near! It is always nice hearing our students share their personal goals amongst each other and know that they are aiming to succeed. In the classroom, we have discussions about colleges, careers, finances, and life lessons. We are educating our students the importance of obtaining a degree and the opportunities it will provide.
Friday Night Lights!
You voiced your opinions and we listened! Although our students appreciate learning about the many different universities, they were also eager to experience life on campus. Mr. Castillo and Communities In Schools Site Coordinator, Mrs. Phoenix have collaborated on numerous events surrounding activities geared toward college awareness. San Antonio Community College was a day to remember. The students participated in a campus tour and enjoyed Whataburger while playing on campus. They ended their day at Café College where they learned the enrollment process that included financial aid.
MSP students also had the opportunity of experiencing a university homecoming game. For many of our students this was their first college football game. Making new memories is what this school year is about.
