Dewey Tiger Tale

Principal's Message
Hello Dewey Families!
Happy Monday!
We are excited to welcome our Cohort A and B students to campus four days a week starting next Monday, April 26th. Once again we find ourselves preparing for another shift in our schedule and we appreciate your flexibility with this upcoming change. This week, you will be receiving an updated specialist (art, music, PE) schedule. We have tried to keep things as similar as possible, but have had to make some minor changes. Your child’s teacher will be providing you with the updated schedule early this week and you will also be able to access the times in our specialists’ Google classrooms. We understand that the change may be challenging for some. If you have any questions regarding the 4-day a week hybrid shift, please contact the office this week.
In order to help with the increased number of students on campus we are asking for your help.
To help ease the traffic flow in the parking lot please make sure to have your name tag on the dash of your vehicle. This helps keep the flow of traffic moving in the parking lot.
We will begin opening up the parking lot at 8:25 to accommodate the increased daily traffic.
Communicate with your child where you plan on picking them up
Unfortunately at this time, we still can not have visitors or volunteers on campus
If your child will be absent, please communicate with the office
You can still join the afternoon zoom if you can’t make it in person!
Again, thank you for patience and flexibility as we work through this change.
Have a great week!
Warmest regards,
Sabrina Parsley, Principal

Changes to Curbside Meal Service
Effective April 26, Nutrition Services will be making changes to curbside meal service. Serving times and locations have changed. Please see the attached document for locations and serving times.
Weekend meals will only be available curbside on Fridays, between 12:00 – 12:30 at our high school locations listed on the attached document.
Parents/Guardians Meal Pick-up Procedure for Curbside Meals Only
If you have a yellow and/or blue color validation form (former Cohorts A and B), please continue to use in order to pick-up meals on Wednesdays and Fridays weekend meal pick-up. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, your student(s) will receive meals when leaving school, as long as they requested a meal through the classroom teacher during meal count.
Orange Validation Form – for Cohort C students and non-enrolled children ONLY and must be used when picking up meals daily.
· In order to receive an orange colored validation form, you must bring all your children on the first day you pick-up curbside meals. Our Nutrition Services staff will provide you with the orange validation form at that time.
· If your children are not in the car when picking up curbside meals, a validation form must be shown.
· If lost, or should the cohort or number of children change, a new validation form(s) will be required.
Meals will continue to be provided free of charge to children ages 0 – 18. Free and Reduced-price meal applications are currently not required or available.
