Week of August 27

A SUPER First Week

We have had a SUPER first week at ROE. Thank you so much for helping us have a great start to the school year. As we begin week 2, we are continuing to focus on the 4 talons in every aspect of our day. Students are learning, growing, communicating and serving in so many ways. Thank you for helping make this a great year at Red Oak Elementary.

Arrival Procedures

Now that we are in the second week of school, we ask that the students walk themselves to their classrooms.

Students arriving by car should be dropped off in the back of the building. Staff will be available to assist students as they exit cars and enter the building. Please do not stop in front of the building to drop off students. You must drop off at the back of the building. Students may not walk in the front doors by themselves. Parents wishing to walk students into the building will need to park in the front and will be allowed to walk the students into the foyer, but students will walk to the cafeteria and their classrooms by themselves. If your child needs extra assistance, we will have several staff members available. The tardy bell will ring at 7:45. Students arriving after 7:45 will need to be escorted into the building and signed in as tardy. Parents will need to park in the front of the building.

Morning drop off begins at 6:50 a.m.

The front doors open at 7:15 a.m.

We thank you for helping foster independence in your child!

Lunch Time Guests

We love visitors at ROE and partnering with our parents. This year when you come to eat lunch with your student, we have a special table just for you and your student. While we know that your student has friends, only the student and their guest will sit at our guest table. Visitors need to be listed on the student's Skyward account.

PTA Update

PTA will be selling spirit shirts for $15, which will include the PTA membership. Forms are available in the front office.

Note from the Nurse

If your child needs medication during the school day, please read over our district's medication policy here:

Parents will need to have an action plan and a medication administration form completed by their student's doctor before medications may be left at school. Please email me at if you need this paperwork sent to you.
