Message from the Principal
Hello Yellowjackets!
Please read through this newsletter as it contains a lot of important information for both our on-campus and CFISD Connect students. We are here to help! Don't hesitate to reach out if you have a question or concern.
Best regards,
Laura Barrett, Principal
2nd Marking Period Learning Option Percentage
For the second marking period, we have 103 students returning to campus.
Our percentage on-campus will be 59.1% of our total enrollment (474 students).
Our percentage for CFISDConnect will be 40.6% of our total enrollment (326 students).
We are working on class learning options, teacher assignments, and our safety protocols.
We are not taking any more Return to School requests as we have ordered desk shields to accommodate our numbers at this time as well as balanced classes to maintain social distancing in the classroom as feasible. We have also redone our cafeteria seating to maintain maximum social distancing during lunch.
Remote Learning Day- Tuesday, November 3rd
The district sent an email and phone communication to families detailing Remote Learning Days for ALL students. Our first Remote Learning Day will be November 3rd. On-campus learners will take home independent work prior to Nov. 3rd that should be completed and returned in order for them to be counted present. A device will not be required for the work they are bringing home. They will need to return the work no later than Thursday, Nov. 5th. CFISDConnect students will complete independent work online that day.
There will not be any live teaching as this will be a day dedicated for our teaching staff to prep and plan.
We will also be sending home shelf-stable meals on Nov. 2nd to our on-campus students to take home for the Remote Learning Day. We will send home one meal with every on-campus student.
If you have questions, please email us at yeager@cfisd.net
