Physical Education
Ms. Pater Mr. Engeriser. Mrs Cichon
Dear Washington Families,
We hope you all had a fun and relaxing summer! We've had such a wonderful start to the school year! Daily physical activity is so important and we are lucky to be able to see our 1st-5th grade students four times per week and our kindergarten students three times per week. Since the start of the school year, our students have been filling their days with fun and engaging lessons. We have completed our team-building, fitness, soccer, tennis, and golf units. Next week, we will begin our soccer golf unit. With this chilly weather fast approaching, please keep in mind that we will be taking all of our classes outside until the end of October. As always, please make sure your child has their gym shoes on or that they keep an extra pair of gym shoes in their locker. If you would like to see what's happening in your child's physical education class at Washington, follow us on Twitter!

Golf Unit
We are excited to introduce a new golf unit to our physical education program! Adding in golf gives the students an opportunity to experience another lifelong physical activity. The reception has been extremely positive among all grade levels. If your child is looking for additional golf practice, follow the links below.

Goal Setting Bulletin Board
Setting goals is so important. As PE teachers, we are always asking our students to set goals throughout each unit. We want to help students set attainable and challenging goals to help show them their progress and improvement throughout the unit and the school year.
We created a bulletin board at the beginning of the school year for students to show us what their main goal is for Physical Education class this year. We will continue to help our students set goals and help them reach those goals that they have set for themselves.
