Year 1
Newsletters
Weeks 1/2
- Welcome back everyone and a special welcome to Sam, who has joined our class. With all the news that the children have shared, it sounds like everyone has had a lovely holiday.
- Once again we have a busy term ahead, starting with Unexpected Magic on Saturday evening. There will be a note sent out soon regarding procedures for the rehearsal and performance. The children have been asked to come dressed in black. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend as I will be taking long service leave during week 2. I hope that lots of our families will take photos so we can share them in the next newsletter. Mrs Bartlett will be teaching the class and continuing with our program of work.
- No homework for this week, apart from home reading. Formal home work will start in week 2.
- There will be a school disco on Thursday evening in week 2. More information will be sent home shortly.
- Our topics for this term are: science - 'Schoolyard Safari', maths - investigation - 'It's my town', HSIE - 'The need for shelter'. These units will be integrated into English, creative arts, topic talks and homework.
Regards, Kerrie
