Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager; the Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for writing, editing and producing content for on- and offline campaigns and communications initiatives to support our corporate objectives. This person is an exceptional writer, has strong attention to detail and is well versed in handling competing priorities to deliver high-quality marketing and communications products on time and within budget.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated excellent researching, writing, editing and proofreading skills, with exemplary attention to detail in both English and French
  • Demonstrated ability to tailor messages for a variety of channels and audiences to match informational needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to produce effective products and campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to implement digital communications activities, with social media skills highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate events and forums for communications purposes
  • Demonstrated solutions-focused, team player with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly-confidential and sensitive issues with skill, tact and diplomacy, and excellent decision making skills and flexibility to re-prioritize quickly to meet changing priorities
  • Advanced computer skills in electronic communication technology, publishing and web-based communications
  • Ability to shoot and edit short, engaging videos for communications purposes, or willingness to learn on the job

Qualifications

  • Education or experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations.
  • A strong communicator with one (1) to three (3) years’ recent, related experience.
  • Highly organized
  • Five years of experience in an office setting
  • Punctual, meticulous and reliable
  • Courteous manners with the public and in the workplace
