New Information
Thank you for attending parent night. We are super excited to partner with you and your child so that we have the BEST school year.
Labor Day is Monday. We will not have school on Labor Day. We hope you can enjoy time with your friends and family.
Do you qualify for free or reduced lunch? Several families that were on free or reduced last year have not completed this year's application. Complete the application below or call the office for a paper copy. When students qualify, it helps us more than a student getting a lunch for free. This program also helps to fund school resource officers and nurses!
Cross Country Team K-5
Young Elementary will be sponsoring a Cross Country Team for all grades!
K, 1st, 2nd will meet Tuesdays and 3rd, 4th, 5th on Thursdays after school from 3:20-3:50 beginning September 12 and 14. Students will need to be picked up promptly at 3:50pm from the front of the school. Students that attend ASP, would go to ASP at that time. Parents must fill out the permission slip for the cross country club that will come home Tuesday. If you have any questions or if a student needs help with obtaining shoes/water bottle/entry funds, please email Mrs. Norwood at cnorwood@sdale.org. We will provide a team shirt. Please return money with the form OR pay online using this link.
This season’s Elementary Cross Country Races are tentatively scheduled starting at 4:15 for:
Wednesday, September 20 at Har-Ber High School
Wednesday, October 11 at George Jr. High
Wednesday, October 25 at Sonora M.S.
*Parents provide transportation to races*
