NutriSystem is a plan where there are pre-made packaged meals engineered to give you a certain amount of calories per day based on your age and gender.
The Raw Food Diet This diet bans foods that have been cooked or processed in any way and encourages eating only raw fruits and vegetables.
The Master Cleanse is a diet that has been around for decades. There are many variations of this diet. In this diet you live on only lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper mixed in water.
They Don't work!
What are some negative consequences to fad diets?
You can lose weight temporarily. Fad diets slow down your metabolism. With some diets you often only lose water weight.
Long-term:
You will gain the weight back. Prolonged hunger, depression, fatigue, irritability, muscle loss, and and sinus problems can all occur due to participating in fad diets.
