SOAR 2014
All the SOARing... right from the comfort of your own home!
Just a quick overview of Origami Owl's SOAR awesomeness!
Sad you missed Origami Owl's SOAR this year? DON'T WORRY! I am here to bring you all the updates and awesome organizational tips they gave to all of us Independent Designers who were able to attend. Lots was covered from Time Management in both your business and personal life, The Circle Of Life (confused? don't be I will explain more!), Spring Trends, Share The Love Assessment, Jewelry Bar Observation, and the Designers Monthly Action Plan.
PHEW that seems like a lot doesn't it? Well, the tools and information shared made all of these things so simple and attainable because of Origami Owl's support of each and every one of us as Independent Designers!
{Time Management}
This is where the Circle of Life comes in... I have included a photo below of my personal Circle of Life assessment which shows where I am excelled and what aspects of my busy busy life need a little extra attention. Since there is not a print out in the Back Office, I am going to give you a little exercise to do to assess your very own Circle Of Life...
So we are going to start with a blank sheet of paper. Write 1-12 down the left side of your paper. Now next to each of those numbers write one aspect of life (Joy, Spirituality, Creativity, Finances, Career, Education, Health, Physical ACtivity, Home Cooking, Home Environment, Relationships, Social Life, and Joy). Now next to each of these rate your satisfaction with any number from 1-5.
For example, I rated Education as a 2 because I am still trying to find a balance between schoolwork and home life so I need to put a little more effort into that aspect of my life. While I am very satisfied with my Joy and rated that a 4 because I am very happy :)
Now, after rating all of your aspects you can see what in your life needs a little more attention to help you plan your year to being a more level and better YOU!
{Time Mapping-Daily}
So to start, make 3 priorities (based off of your Circle Of Life) that you would like to concentrate on to better your business and yourself. My 3 priorities are my daughter Kinley and my husband Jake, Jewelry Bar Prep and bookings, and Mentoring!
This helps you schedule actual time every day to concentrate on these things to SOAR to your goals and to keep you focused on goals. For Example, From 8:00-10:00am I put that time aside for Jake and Kinley because it is when I am getting home from work and we like to do breakfast together. I set aside time from 4:00-5:00pm for Jewelry Bar Prep and bookings. And lastly I set aside time later at night to concentrate on Mentoring (AKA sending newsletters, catching up with my girls and seeing how they are doing!)

{Share The Love Assessment}
Help yourself set an action step for different skills!
1. I passionately look for people whom O2 could make a difference in their lives.
2. I foster a pay-it-forward mindset with every hostess.
3. I share why I love what I do at every jewelry bar.
4. My thoughtful actions include asking someone to take the next step and learn more.
5. I implement a follow-up system that inspires people to reach their dreams.
Feel like you need work in any of these areas? This is the perfect time to set up an action step and put forth the effort to improve each of these skills, and in turn your business!!!
