Reminders for the Ludlow High School Class of 2023
PSAT/NMSQT
Students in 10th and 11th grades will have the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 13th, here at LHS. The PSAT/NMSQT is a standardized test that 11th graders (and some 10th graders) take in October. Like the ACT, it measures the knowledge and skills in reading, writing, and math, which students learn in the classroom—the same knowledge and skills your child needs to succeed in college and career. The biggest benefit of taking the PSAT/NMSQT is the price. Unlike the ACT, which costs $60, students can take the PSAT for only $16. Students will receive a detailed report identifying areas of strength and areas for which students can improve. Please know this is not a mandatory test. It is strictly an opportunity for students to get standardized test feedback. Also, students that are interested in applying for Kentucky Governor’s Scholar, should consider taking the PSAT as part of the Governor’s Scholar application requirements.
If students would like to participate, please bring $16 cash or check made payable to Ludlow High School by the end of the school day on Tuesday, October 12.
