For approval, all community volunteers must have passed the required background check AND completed the Confidentiality Agreement.

Once volunteers are cleared and/or completed the required paperwork, we can discuss what type of volunteer work you would like to assist with. We are always looking for help in the Library, Lunch, Recess, Primary Classrooms etc. Family members cannot work in their child's classroom. Please call the main office with further questions. School Book Fair- October 26th
Pack your bookbags: the Literati Book Fair is coming! Students will preview the in-person fair on Monday, October 24-25. Sales will start during the day on Wednesday, October 26th and run through the morning of Friday, October 28th! Grab your Passport to Adventure and visit us during Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. We also have a companion on-line fair running NOW! Go to http://efairs.literati.com/ Be sure to select Kimball Hill School in the upper right corner. There is also information about purchasing gift cards for your student to use. News from D15 Multilingual Department
- MPAC (Multilingual Parent Advisory Committee - families who speak any language are most welcome): Tues., Oct. 18 at 6:30 pm - Virtual workshop addressing report cards and preparing for parent/teacher conferences
- BPAC (Spanish Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee - presented in Spanish and translated to English): Thurs., Nov. 10 at 6:30 pm - In person & virtual workshop with David Carrillo on "How to Effectively Address Changes in Children's Behavior"

Moving D15 Forward
The District 15 Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution to place a bond referendum on the November 8, 2022 ballot. Doing so will allow the District to repair and restore our facilities, bring full-day kindergarten to all elementary schools, update schools libraries and some learning spaces, and ensure feeder patterns from elementary to junior high and high school providing all student access to a neighborhood or near neighborhood school. District 15 will be hosting informational meetings on the following dates:

One-five Foundation Family Fun 1.5 Run/Walk
one-five Foundation Family Fun 1.5 Run/Walk
Join the one-five Foundation for its first-ever Family Fun Run/Walk on October 15 at Winston Campus Junior High! The event begins at 9:15 am on 10/15. Registration is $15 an adult or $5 for a D15 student.
All proceeds from this event will support initiatives of the one-five Foundation that serve the students, staff, and community of CCSD15. Visit one-five.org to learn more.
School Hours
Just a reminder- school begins at 8:25am. Those not in need of a breakfast should arrive to school closer to 8:20am. Doors will open for breakfast at 8:10am. If your child needs a breakfast, they can grab a breakfast bag between 8:10-8:20 am from the lunchroom. Students that arrive past 8:25am will receive a tardy pass.
