Types of Democracy

  • Direct Democracy- A type of democracy in which the people govern directly.
  • Representative Democracy- A type of democracy in which a group of elected officials represent a group of people.

Pros and Cons


  • Governments are resistent to corruption because of the large amounts of people.
  • People are given freedom to vote for what they want.


  • Due to a large amount of people in the process of making laws, laws take a very long to implement.
  • Minority groups sometimes don't have any saw because it's based on majority.
