Dear Parents,

It is so difficult to believe that we have 15 days of school left! Where has the year gone? With only a few weeks left remaining in the school year, we appreciate your continued support.

We will be having our end of the year party on Thursday, June 2nd. Ms. Referente and I are asking parents to send $3 with your child by May 20th. We will be providing all food and drinks for the children. Please check your child's folder for a form with more details about the party and please check 'yes' or 'no' if you will be in attendance. We hope to see you there!

Thank you for helping our staff by checking your child's folder and sending in toileting items, etc. as needed. We are so grateful for your continued support!

Have a great weekend!

Amy Rodiles

Songs We Have Learned:

Books We Read This Week:

Every Morning by Jane Manners

Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert

Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown

What We Are Learning And Doing: Gardening

This week we are continuing to learn about gardening and introduced the concept of day and night through stories and multisensory activities. The children have enjoyed all of the planting we have been doing. Last week we planted sunflowers for Mother's Day and this week we planted grass seeds. The children are enjoying watering their class plants!

We worked our fine motor skills by painting glue, crumpling tissue paper, and using the pincer grasp to pick up and release real seeds for a flower art project. The children sorted stars by size and learned about day and nighttime routines through stories and a sorting activity. Please encourage them to talk about their routines at home!

The children are enjoying our classroom garden pretend center and sensory table that's full of sand, buckets, and tools. We're also enjoying our integration time with Ms. Referente's class. This week our classes are building towers with boxes! On Friday, we will cook with our friends!

Thank you for your continued support!
