Once booked the Student Interviews Website allows you to pick an In-Person Meeting, Online Video Meeting or Phone Call Option for your time slot. We are looking forward to connecting with our families of STMY!

This week Teachers will be completing Report Card comments and assessments on Powerschool and they should be visible by Monday, March 21st.

We also wanted to bring to your attention that this past week your child reflected on their “Evidence of Learning” in each of their courses. We would ask that this week you login, as your child, to each of their Google classrooms. In these classrooms, you will see specific activities/assessments that your child has reflected on, in which they have completed a “Student Learning Reflection” assignment for each of their classes. The goal of this assessment tool is designed so that you can have the opportunity to see their learning first hand and understand where they are, where they need to go, and how we can get there together.

Please sit with them as they allow you to have a window into their learning. Our hope is that the reflection that your child shares with you, will be valuable information for our upcoming Parent-Student-Teacher conferences.

Our teachers look forward to meeting with you and your child.

Yours in Christ,

St. Mary’s Staff

Parent Feedback Form

This past week STMY hosted parents for our monthly parent council meeting. During this meeting, STMY administrators went over some of the preliminary analysis of the Assurance Survey Data that was discovered through surveys taken from Staff, Students, and Parents in February. The purpose of this was to have transparent discussions on the positives of STMY as a school as well as the areas of improvement that can be refined. Some of the guiding topics that were discussed were:

  • Faith Formation
  • Quality of Education at STMY
  • Satisfaction with parental involvement
  • Student Interventions
  • Student Engagement
  • Overall School Improvement Strategies

We wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the dozen or so parents that took the time to discuss these aspects of STMY in person. It was a fruitful conversation and the openness and honesty that happened were much appreciated. We understand that not all parents were able to make it out in person. If you would like to give extra feedback to some of these discussion topics please feel free to fill out the following GOOGLE FORM. Your input is always appreciated.

Jr. Boys and Girls Basketball end their seasons well!

The Jr. Boys and Girls Basketball teams ended their seasons this past Tuesday in a fantastic competition. The girls played in the EIPS League Bronze Medal game and the boys were in the Championship final.

In their game, the girls came right down to the wire as they lost a close game 38-35. The whole game was exciting to watch with spectators on their feet and loud for the majority of the competition. The boys had an exciting game against the Lamont Lakers defeating them by double digits. Despite the score both teams battled back and forth showing great sportsmanship and pride, with the Saints coming out on top.

We are so proud of the dedication of both teams, their coaches and their families that have supported them this season. It was an incredible building block year with many players returning to the teams next year. Congratulations to both teams on a phenomenal season!
