FSA and EOC Individual Scores Important Notice
Zachary Hessler, Gifford Middle School Student, Named Finalist for Young Scientist Challenge
Discovery Education (@DiscoveryEd) and 3M (@3M) have selected Gifford Middle School student, Zachary Hessler, as one of the 10 finalists from across America to be named America’s Top Young Scientist. The annual competition recognizes "scientific thinking and imagination in students grades 5-8 who dream up a solution to an everyday problem that ultimately could reshape and improve the way we live our lives."
Zach, and nine other young scientists, were selected over hundreds of others. "These young ladies and gentlemen were selected based on their science acumen, innovative thinking and exceptional communication skills as demonstrated in their entry videos"

Project H.E.L.P (Hospital Exemplary Learning Program) students, Michael Scali, Environmental Services Intern; Anthony Scali, Hospitality Intern; D.K. Richardson, Facilities Intern; and Dakota Bennett, DMS Supply Chain Intern, spoke to us about their individual responsibilities within their departments and the growth and challenges they have experienced as a student participating in Project H.E.L.P. Thank you to these young professionals for allowing us to visit their workplace and and speak to them about their success.
Project H.E.L.P. is a transition program partnership between Indian River Medical Center and the School District of Indian River County teaching students important job skills as they transition from high school to the workforce.

National Summer Learning Day
The Learning Alliance will be hosting activities beginning at 5:30pm at the following locations:
- Sebastian Boys and Girls Club: Moonshot Family Pajama Pizza Party
- Fellsmere Elementary: Moonshot Family Pajama Pizza Party
- The Heritage Center Moonshot Family Pajama Pizza Party
Arts and crafts will be tied to social emotional learning, with a focus on “feelings.”
