Thunderstorms!
A lot of thunderstorms occur on warmer summer days and nights. The reason for this is to make cumulonimbus clouds (which are thunderstorm cloud) you need moisture, warm temperatures and, rising air. When those things all get together they make a cloud then the cloud will of course rain and storm. High wind is associated with thunderstorms and also flood or tornado warnings can end up being more intense thunderstorms.
