Boosterthon Event
The Bobcat Fun Run event will be Tuesday, March 14th, for all students. Students should wear running shoes and shorts to school that day. A Boosterthon t-shirt will be provided to each student to wear at the event.
It is not too late to register your student(s) and share their donation link to help us raise funds!
You can register/donate at mybooster.com. Students do NOT need to be registered to participate, but any funds that we receive are appreciated.
Weekend Challenge:
Our community has been working hard to help us reach our goal of $19,000. To say “thank you” (and help us keep raising funds), we’ve got a BONUS PRIZE for students to earn THIS WEEKEND ONLY by getting either $2/lap or $60 in flat donations.
❗️This is a limited time window, so head to MYBOOSTER.COM today to learn more. ❗️
Pre-order a Yearbook- Last Chance!
The deadline to pre-order a copy is March 15, 2023. Any additional copies that we receive will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
Pre-ordered yearbooks will be delivered directly to your student towards the end of the school year.
If you have any questions, contact Ms. Lisa (lisa.odonnell@sccpss.com).

Deadline to purchase is March 30th.

Overdue Media Center Books
Reminders:
- Students may check out books for two weeks and renew them for another two weeks, if needed.
- If a student has lost a media center book, we ask that the student's family buys a replacement copy of the book OR pays to have the book replaced.
- Students cannot check out additional media center books until they pay/replace their lost book(s); however, we do provide either paperback/discarded/donated books that students may choose from so they always have access to reading material.
- If your student has lost/damaged a media center book, please contact Ms. Lisa (lisa.odonnell@sccpss.com) to discuss options for replacement.
Thank you for your help in maintaining our community's shared resources.
Grace & Courtesy Emphasis
Throughout the school year, Ellis has a school-wide focus on specific positive character traits. Each teacher may choose to highlight these "Grace & Courtesy" emphases differently, but as a school we follow a general common curriculum.
From March 13th-31st, our school-wide Grace & Courtesy emphasis is COMPASSION.
The language for identifying/naming Compassion in "The Self-Awakened Child" series by Jonathan Wolff:
- When I care about other people as I care about myself, I am feeling Compassion.
- When I see that other people are feeling hurt or sad and I do something to help them feel better, I am acting with Compassion.
Counselors' Corner
This week in School Counseling Instruction, Primary students have received lessons on personal space and self-control using the book, Personal Space Camp. Next week, some Lower Elementary classes will begin learning about safety using the curriculum Child Safety Matters.
If your child could benefit from school counseling support, Backpack Buddies, school supplies, or other resources, please let us know.
