We had our Kick-off Pep Rally on Oct 28th to kickoff the excitement and the kids LOVED it!!!
Calling all parents & kiddos -
As of this past Friday, we have raised $36,000!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!
Donation deadline has been extended to this Friday, Nov 15th.
Let's see how much we can raise and make it the BIGGEST fall fundraiser EVER. :o)
Student fundraising goal: $30 per student
We have made fundraising easier than ever. Go to FUN RUN to sign up your kiddo(s) and help us raise money for CPES this year in a BIG (and crazy fun) way!
**The funds we raise together help us provide all of the awesome educational support materials, in-house author visit, educational adventures, and bring us closer to our bigger goals of sunshades on our playground and chromebooks for each student. We welcome all kiddos to wear their class color during field day. An easy way to do this is by wearing your class spirit wear shirt! If you are unable to purchase your spirit wear shirt prior to the event, please feel free to wear any shirt in your class color. REMINDER
Doors open at 8:10 am and Great Expectations Assembly will begin at 8:30am. The tardy bell rings at 8:40 am.

Lunch Room & Car Rider Line Volunteers Needed
Our dear school staff is in URGENT need of help and assistance during lunch hours and Morning Car Riding line (Car Door Openers) to make it a smooth and efficient process. Please SIGN UP and help on any free day you have in the week. We really appreciate your help!

Class Pictures & Picture Retakes - November 7th
School-wide class pictures are on November 7th.
For 4th grade students only: your teacher will be giving you your class shirt to wear for your class pictures. All other grades may wear regular school attire.
If your child was absent for Picture Day, or they just need to have retakes for any reason, you may do so on November 7th.

Tomball Innovation Lab - Logo Design Competition
The selected logo will be used for all Innovation Lab communications and branding. The Logo and selected designer will be announced in December and recognized at the Grand Opening ceremony of the Tomball Innovation Lab, slated for early 2020.

"We Honor You!" - A Salute to our American Heroes
Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10 AM
Join us for this special musical salute to our servicemen and women. RSVP for special VIP seating and a reception for veterans and active service members.
Please send a JPEG of family members who have served or are currently serving in one of the branches of the armed services to Mr. Nolde for inclusion in our pictorial salute. Include their name and their relationship to your third grader. toddnolde@tomballisd.net
Please submit all photos no later than November 5.
Although there are no special costumes for this program, students are asked to wear red, white and blue.
Holiday Food Drive
Our Annual Food Drive will begin on November 18th and end on the 22nd. We will be partnering with St. Anne’s in Tomball again this year. A flyer will be coming home with a list of items needed. This is an excellent example of kindness to teach our students! Thank you for supporting our food drive and helping families in need!

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training for Parents - November 19th
An initiative very important to Tomball ISD is mental health knowledge & well being. They will be hosting Youth Mental Health First Aid training on November 19, 2019 from 8:00AM to 4:30PM at the TISD Staff Development Center. It is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or substance abuse challenge. Heartwise Health Assessment
The HeartWise© program includes Diagnostic testing for vascular issues, Lab work including CBC and other medical assessments. Heartwise is nationally recognized as a leading provider of wellness services and has a proven track record of detecting many conditions years before it would be detected through normal annual physicals in your physicians' office. The results from this program can enable your doctor to better treat your conditions, decreasing symptoms and the need for costly medications.

Tailgate Teacher's Lunch - November 22nd
The Hospitality Committee will be holding a Tailgate Teacher's Lunch on November 22nd. This is the Friday before Thanksgiving break, and we want the CPES staff to know how thankful we are for them! The Hospitality Committee has teamed up with WingStop and will be asking our wonderful Wildcat volunteers for donations of fruit and vegetable trays, chips, dips, soda, and desserts.

Yearbook NEWS!
Yearbooks will be going on sale soon! More information will be sent home with your child. We are looking for pictures of the 1st day of school, Trunk or Treat, & the Fun Run. For a chance to be featured in the yearbook, please upload them to www.replayit.com. You WILL need to register to upload photos, but it is quick and easy to do.

2nd Annual Enchanted Evening Ball - December 14th
Princesses - bring your dads, stepdads, granddads, big brothers or uncles
Ball will include a light dinner, treats, photo opportunities with princess characters and surprise guests, dance lessons, crafts & even carriage rides (for a small fee).

Volunteer help is really important to make any school year into a successful year. If you would like to volunteer at various classroom events and school events, help with your time/other donations throughout the coming school year, right now is the perfect time to let us know. All volunteers at CPES need to have their background check done before they can help us at school. Also PTO will need your contact information and availability/event preferences, for them to send you emails as and when they need help. Spring Carnival Fundraiser Shout Out - Tentative Date: Feb 29, 2020
The tentative date is Saturday, Feb 29, 2020.
We will need at a minimum 30 volunteers. So mark your calendars as you know this will be a FANTASTIC day full of fun, family, friends & laughter. :o)

This program is for dads, grandfathers, and even uncles to provide a positive and active role model for students at the school. (More details available HERE)
