Juniors in Elizabeth May's English class have chosen their own novel to read for an independent novel unit. Together, the IC and Elizabeth have brainstormed different ways to check in with students throughout the novel and to have students discuss their novel with their peers.
Emberly Albertson and the IC partnered together on the mole unit in Chemistry. We explored different strategies and methods to gather quick feedback on the students' understanding. We looked at the data and discussed what our next steps should be to ensure all students were able to convert moles.
Megan Sears, together with 3rd grade teammates Joe Albertson and Kelli Wilson, tackled a writing performance assessment. The IC helped to facilitate the development of opinion essays after students analyzed a model, practiced a task and then individually performed the task.
